Let's compare the way they dressed

From Jessicka's claims it comes through that Jeordie just took on the way she dressed and went with it through the entire 90's. Not only have we already gone through multiple reasons why this claim isn't true and how this "dress look" wasn't something "stolen from her", we should also take a look at how Jeordie actually dressed through the 90's, because there were multiple different looks that somehow have been completely forgotten in this discussion.

But what kind of dresses did Jessicka wear?

As said before, I did try very hard to find footage of Jessicka wearing the kind of dresses Jeordie wore, but found none. Of course, it's possible that she did, but you have to understand that Jessicka wore various different styles while Jeordie pretty consistently stuck to a certain dress model. Let's go through some Jessicka pics. Sorry, the quality is very poor!

So, here we've got a few examples. Live 1993, 1995 and 1997. Jessicka wore various different styles of dresses while Jeordie stuck to pretty much the same until 1998 when the metallic coloured sleeveless dresses came along. But here we can see the differences already; these dresses were girly looking unlike Jeordie's that often were more just straight, looking more like a long t-shirt. Jessicka's dresses often either had a pattern or were just completely black. Another difference is the neck area, Jeordie's dresses weren't as wide collared and they had a zipper or buttons.

These live pics from 1997 (By Justin Pearce) show a pretty similiar dress, it's the collar. But it's 1997, not before the 1994 dress and it's not green either. Similar look, but there's the pattern again. From these collars, considering how Jessicka later took on the name Addams, maybe she was making a reference to Wednesday while Jeordie was more about 60's Twiggy. But it's not exactly the same dress though. Far from it.

Still not the same. The middle one is pretty close, but it's not the same type of dress still. Have you seen any of the dress mentioned now on Jeordie? Have you seen Jeordie wear "exactly the same" dress? There's the pattern again. Do these stand out much from the ones mentioned on the Kinderwhore page?

Then there was this look with the simple black dress. Did Jeordie wear this? No. It's interesting also that Jack Off Jill has a song called Devil With the Black Dress On, and about this, she said in Seconds, 1998:

The Devil is such a taboo that people are drawn towards it. I notice at shows that the worse I act on stage, the closer the kids come. If I bled on stage, not only would they come closer, they would try to drink it. To them, I became an entity - "Devil with the Black Dress On." No matter what I was doing, they just wanted more.

So, you're the Devil With The Black Dress On, but you got your pea green dress stolen? hm.

A similarity between their looks was that around 1993-1996 they both wore fur jackets, but we're not getting into that since it's not a part of the claim necessarily and also, a lot of other people wore fur jackets at the time too so it wasn't an exclusively Jessicka thing either.

Ok, on to the Twiggy Ramirez looks.

As already discussed, in the Portrait Of An American Family - Smells Like Children eras Jeordie would wear these bright colored dresses. These were the most memorable ones, while there also was a few more simple ones. In LHROOH he was mentioned wearing a "blue dress that looked like a tablecloth" and in some interviews he was mentioned wearing a "yellow floral dress". So it could be that he did borrow a dress from Jessicka at some point, and that's where the issue is coming from. But the "signature" Twiggy look and the most memorable ones were most likely not "stolen" as he stuck to a certain style.

So the difference to Jessicka is already visible here. Always very simple color, no patterns, The dress is always the same style, supporting the idea of androgyny there it's not necessarily girly, but more a "long t shirt". Very simple, no lace or frilled anything, no wide collars, no bell shaped hems, nothing. Just a very plain simple look.

There was this red striped one that he wore in some promo pictures and the Sweet Dreams music video. But that's also very different from what Jessicka wore...

Then, Antichrist Superstar era; the entire band's aesthetic changes, the bright colours are left behind, though the bright coloured dresses would sometimes make their return into the live shows. But on ACSS era, the plain simple colours stayed and the dress shape stayed, just it was this faded grey/beige/white sort of thing.  Another difference to Jessicka, he liked to wear these "evening gloves" looking things on his arms.

It's also very interesting to claim he was "stealing" a look of grade school ghoulie dead girl kinder goth, when, he also wore suits? Overall the entire vibe is completely different, really hard t understand what she's talking about.... Grade school ghoulie... smh

Okay, then, Mechanical Animals. That album had some glam/disco vibes and Bowie influences going on so it was all very metallic coloured, Jeordie wore these sleeveless long dresses and also appeared wearing a gold colored suit. There was a lot more going on too, but could see from these pictures very well that this had nothing to do with Jessicka at all.

Holy Wood, he wore a lot of black, pretty much just if you go back to goth after MA this is what you get. Then he started wearing these scarves on his head and more south asian influenced stuff too. He also wore, again the same type of dress as before, but with some added decorations like buckles. No Jessicka influence detected.

I could make this a hundred pages long, Jeordie had so many memorable looks in the 90's, a lot of really cool photoshoots that I could talk ages about, and maybe I'll even update this page with more pictures. But this is one of the reasons why I'm so pissed about this whole issue, that this all can be reduced to "he put on his girlfriend's dress" and all that people seem to remember is that one dress from 1994.  How he dressed in the 90's was fucking iconic and no one can change my mind about that.

Jessicka was iconic too but if she has no respect at all, it's truly sad and tells more about her own problems.

Anything said on social media or this site is a fan's ramblings, I don't know Jeordie personally. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL WEBSITE AND HAS NOT BEEN MADE IN ANY CONTACT TO JEORDIE/TWIGGY.
